Grade 8 Science

The students have worked hard on their Edible Cell projects.  We had a great turnout of fantastic creative cell models!  Attached you will find some sample projects from this year’s grade 8 classes. Students will be given a quiz on what they have learned from this project and the cell unit to date.

Grade 7 Science

The students are continuing to work on their Lunchbox project.  They should be conducting research on insulating materials and choosing their recycling supplies from home to complete their project.

Grade 6 Science

The students have been working on their Biodiversity Projects.  They will be presenting them this week.

Grade 8 Science

Students have received their Cell Assignment.  They will be starting to work on this assignment this week.  A rubric has been provided for this assignment.

Grade 7 Science

Students have received their mark for their Particle and Changes of State quiz.

Students were given their Heat building Assignment.  They will be starting this assignment in the upcoming week.  A rubric has been provided for this assignment.

Grade 6 Science

Students have received their mark for their quiz on the Plant Kingdom.

Students have been given their Biodiversity Assignment.  It involves them taking pictures of various things along the Humber River trail.  Students will  eventually classify their photos and decide on a way to present them to the class.  A rubric for this assignment was given out.
