Grade 8 Science

Students will have received back their Buoyancy and Viscosity test marks this week.  They have been given their final ‘Fluids Challenge’.  Students will be working in small groups to design, build and test a pneumatic/hydraulic device. Their device will need to complete specific tasks.  They have been given the assignment outline and the criteria for their device.

Grade 7 Science

Students will be receiving their Heat Transfer tests back this week.  They are continuing to build their ‘Lunchbox Designs’ in class.  For homework, they should be looking over Part 2 of the assignment which is individual and a written component.  Students will need to create an individual brochure describing their box and choice of materials.  Their original assignment outline provides them with all the details.

Grade 6 Science

Students will have received their Biodiversity Test marks back this week.  Once everyone has had a chance to write it, I will send the tests home.  Students will be working on their Biodiversity Project in class.  Most of the work should be completed in class.  They have been asked to bring their pictures to class, either printed or saved on a USB.  They will decide on their choice of presentation for this project and they will need to provide the materials to complete their presentation.
