Grade 8 Science

The students continued to work on the questions in their booklet.  We have taken up various sections.  They should be done the Mechanical Advantage and Efficiency questions.  At this point they should be working through the textbook review questions.  This unit is very math driven and requires them to stay caught up and complete all the practice questions.  Extra help is available at lunch or after school.  There will be a test next week.  Due to a number of interruptions, I haven't set a firm date.  I am hoping once we take up all the questions the test can be mid to late next week.

On Wednesday February 5th, the students will showcase their hydraulic projects in the lunchroom all afternoon.  Various classes will be coming by and voting on the best design created.

Grade 7 Science

The students submitted their Paper Chromatography lab write up this week.  They were also asked to get their test signed.  They have started investigating solutions in further detail and they will be conducting a lab on the factors that affect the rate of dissolving next week.
