The students will have or will be testing their lunchboxes this week. They have begun studying how to classify matter into pure substances and/or mixtures. To date the students should have the following material in their notebooks to prepare for an upcoming quiz (date to be announced in class):
- A list of Vocabulary
- An outline on writing a Lab Report
- A summary prepared by them on Pure Substances vs. Mixtures
- A chart classifying Matter
- A completed lab in class called ‘Classifying Substances’
- A handout describing Pure Substance and Mixtures
- A handout and set of questions on Separating Mixtures
- Questions 1-5 on page 21
