With the school year well underway, students have completed some safety review and written a Safety and Science Equipment quiz. They will be asked to have it signed and returned back.
The first unit the students will cover this year is on Heat and Temperature. They have been reviewing the 3 states of matter and how the particles behave in each state. They have learned the different parts of a thermometer and they will be investigating how they work. The students will be conducting their first experiment this week using the thermometers and they will have a set of questions to answer as a follow up. They can expect an upcoming quiz in this unit shortly.
