Grade 8 Science

The students have continued to work through their Mechanical Systems workbook.  They will be having a test coming up soon.  They should also have decided on their car design(s) and they will submit two sketches to me next week.

Grade 7 Science

This week the students submitted their Paper Chromatography lab report.  We will continue with a few more concepts on solutions before moving on to a new unit of study.

Grade 6 Science

This week the students are completing several testing activities with their gliders to help with their understanding of the function of ailerons, elevators and a rudder during flight.  They will be submitting their work to me next week.

Grade 8 Science

This week the students started a new unit on Mechanical Systems.  They are working from a booklet and it will cover a number of different formula/calculations.  It is important for them to stay caught up on the work.  They were also given a Car building assignment which will require them to design and construct their own racer in class.

Grade 7 Science

This week the students conducted their Paper Chromatography experiment.  They will be given time to work on their rough copy of their lab report in class.  The final typed lab report will be due next week.  Both classes will be given a specific due date.

Grade 6 Science

Both classes have written their Air test.  Once everyone has written the test the students will be able to take them home next week.  They are currently working on Gliders and the properties of Flight.
