Grade 6 Science

Students have been presenting their animal research boxes to the class.  We have also continued to study the Plant Kingdom in more detail.  Specifically, we have studied the process of photosynthesis, compared similarities and differences between the plant and animal kingdom, and they have started studying coniferous and deciduous trees and the classification of leaves into these categories.  Students have been given their final Biodiversity Assignment.  It involves taking pictures of various things along the Humber River trail.  Students will eventually classify their photos and decide on a way to present them to the class.  An assignment outline and rubric has been given out.
