Students have finished learning the parts and use of microscopes and were given a quiz. They will have their quiz mark by this week. Students have also spent time learning the process of scientific inquiry to carry out an investigation and how to write a science report. They submitted lab reports this week related to an investigation with microscopes. Students will begin studying in more detail the structures and functions of both plant and animal cells.
To date students should have the following additional material in their notebooks:
- A note outlining the Scientific Method to write a Report
- A diagram of both plant and an animal cell parts/labeled
- A note on how to make proper diagrams/sketches and labels
